The Essential Export: Getting a bagel while you are decamped

Among the many urban mysteries, such as visual evidence of baby pigeons, is the fact that New York City is the only place you can get a good bagel. So if you are out of town and desperate, Zucker’s is shipping. And if you are within striking distance, Pick A Bagel is still open and baking. (If I have left someone out, let me know and I will update.)

ZUCKER’S
Zucker’s is shipping nationwide and also offering free delivery from its website. (And every day they donate at least 500 bagels and cream cheese or butter to the Bowery Mission. Their goal is to get to 250,000 donated bagels by the end of 2020.) To order pick up or delivery, go to www.zuckersbagels.com (use code FREEDELIVERY). Hours are 7a – 2:30p. Sidewalk pick-up is now available – just call when you’re outside. You can also use Seamless, Doordash, GrubHub, UberEats and Delivery.com. Catering orders can be placed here, and nationwide shipping with Goldbelly can be arranged here.

PICK A BAGEL
Pick A Bagel in Battery Park City off Vesey is making deliveries via Seamless and is open for pick up from 6a to 9:30p: order here for their usual menu.

(Leo’s Bagels on Hanover Square and Black Seed at Hudson Eats is closed.)
