Seen & Heard: Worth Street shoe repair seeking help

MASTER SHOE REPAIR SEEKING HELP
Raul Urgiles, the owner of Master Shoe Repair at 90 Worth, has started a GoFundMe page to help save his business, which he opened seven years ago. “There have been good and bad times, but none like this,” he wrote. “I finished all my savings covering the rent and the accounts of the business plus all personal accounts and now I have nothing. I have asked for help everywhere but unfortunately not found. I ask for help because I do not want my business to close. Thank you very much.”

TRAIN WITH THE LIVE WELL COMPANY
The Live Well Company is offering one-on-one training sessions online over any platform that works for clients, including Facetime and Zoom. Consultations with owner Anne Marie Bennick are free; over a phone call, she will match you with a trainer based on needs, personality and schedule. “It’s like fitness matchmaking!” The sessions are flexible and can be adjusted for shorter time frames, for kids, for injuries, etc. Reach Anne Marie at thelivewellcompany@yahoo.com.

FREE TRIVIA GAME WITH ROCKET CLUB LIVE!
Rocket Club, the engineering program that was scheduled to open this spring on Nassau Street (they opened and then immediately had to close), is hosting a live trivia game every day for kids 8 to 14 every day at 5p. Participants compete on questions of engineering and entrepreneurship and they can also ask questions of industry leaders, such as NASA astronauts. The game is free, and winners take home “rocket fuel,” which they can later cash in for prizes. The topics include autonomous cars, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. The head of Apple Music was on last week, and Andrew Yang is joining a session next week!

Sessions are limited in size, so parents must sign kids up in advance here, and then register for each trivia game. Email Aicha@officialrocketclub.com with questions.
