Edward’s opens TONIGHT for delivery and takeout

Edward’s — on West Broadway and Thomas — is opening tonight after being shuttered for the virus for these two months. Hours are 5p to 8:30p with their basic dinner menu, which I have added below, but note that is from the old days and may be adjusted for the times and conditions. Order by calling 212-233-6436 or use Seamless, GrubHub, Postmates or DoorDash. (They are updating their website now. And the shot above is from J. in April.)

I’m starting with the BLT, but there’s also blackened salmon, hanger steak, rigatoni with sausage, the Tribeca Cobb, the Lafrieda hamburger and turkey burger and more. Oh, and calamari for Jean.

  1. Order DIRECT and do not use 3rd party apps. Though the city just reduced their onerous commissions to 20% (from 30%+) that is still too high. I want as many restaurants as possible to survive that crisis and to do that they will need every last dollar they can get . When we order from them directly by phone or through their website they get to keep all of it.

  2. I can’t for the life of me understand why restaurants use third party delivery apps when they could take orders by text and email as well as phone.
