Seen & Heard: Quick Cryo is closed permanently

NO MORE DEEP FREEZE HERE
Quick Cryo, the cryotherapy studio on Church and Franklin that offered deep freezes as well as an oxygen bar, has closed permanently. It opened in 2017 and also provided cryo facials and joint therapy as well as compression therapy, and had two rooms for whole-body cryo that got as cold as -321 degrees. The space was between Tracy Anderson and Sweaty Betty.

SQUARE DINER HOLDING OFF TILL FALL
I happened to walk by the Square Diner as Anna and Teddy Karounos were just checking on the place. They said they were going to wait things out till Labor Day to reopen. It sure looked good to see the lights on there, even if for a minute. (and sorry, I know it’s a tease, but I had to rerun this great picture by Claudine Williams of Anna and the carrot cake.)

NEW FASHION ACCESSORY FOR TREES
Neighbors on Leonard resorted to hand embroidery to get folks to take better care of the area’s street trees.

  1. Does anyone know who is doing the embroidery and how to get in touch with them? It’s very cool.

  2. It’s almost Labor Day; the Square Diner folks are due to make a decision about reopening. Any word from them? Last I looked they were still shut.
