Takahachi is back after 10 weeks; Tamarind is now serving lunch and dinner; Serafina has expanded its lunch menu; and Biscuits and Bath on Hudson has reopened for grooming only.

TWO HANDS IS BACK WITH A SPECIALTY MARKET
The Australian cafe is open for takeout and delivery, and has also used the pandemic as an opportunity to start selling its specialty items and staples to go.

THE RETURN OF THE OLD GUARD
Reade Street Pub and The Patriot — the old-school old timers — have joined the local bars now serving again, with drinks passed through their doors and windows.

LOCAL MESSAGES THAT SUPPORT THE CAUSE
Local businesses took to social media and to their own storefronts to support Black Lives Matter, even if it meant adding messages to their boarded up windows.

PIER 26 STILL ON TRACK
Pier 26 construction is moving ahead despite some initial delays and logistical challenges due to the pandemic. It’s back on track to be finished late summer.
