Seen & Heard: Protest today at City Hall

RALLY SET FOR CITY HALL TODAY
The families of New Yorkers killed by the NYPD are holding a rally today at City Hall at 5p. Protestors from around the city will be ending marches there as well.

TAKAHACHI BAKERY OPENS NEXT WEEK
The bakery on Murray and Church will open starting June 15 with hours from 9 to 5, Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday). (The restaurant on Duane is already open.) Thanks to B. for the pic.

HOUSEMAN STARTING DELIVERY – CAUTIOUSLY
Staring Thursday, June 11, Houseman will start offering three of its best sellers on Caviar: the Houseman burger, roasted chicken with fava puree, and a plate salad. They will also have a couple of their top cocktails — EJ’s Manhattan and El Zapatista — and the meal kits they now offer: dinner for four for pick up at the restaurant every Thursday in Manhattan and on Fridays in the North Fork. From Ned Baldwin: “Once we see that there’s some caviar business — I sure hope that there is — I’ll start doing takeout as well.”

SHIFTING HOURS AT TARGET
Some folks have noticed that Target has not been following its posted hours. This from the Target pressroom: “We are making the decision to reduce hours or temporarily close stores for the safety of team members and guests. We anticipate most closures will be temporary. We are not providing a count on the number of stores impacted by reduced hours or temporary closures as the situation remains incredibly dynamic. Team members impacted by store closures will be paid for up to 14 days of scheduled hours. They will also be able to work at other nearby Target locations.”
