Shigure is back open and serving sake to go

Shigure, the sake bar on Church between Franklin and White, just reopened yesterday — and with a summer daytime treat in addition to their usual offerings: shaved ice with condensed milk in three flavors. (The bar looked so welcoming. Sigh.)

Hours are noon to 9, with the last call at 8:45 for the kitchen, seven days a week.

The takeout menu includes glasses and bottles of sake, as well as shochu by the glass and bottle, a selection of Japanese beers, several cocktails (including a sake sangria) and for the kids, those awesome Ramune sodas with the marble inside. The food menu has expanded since they opened in 2012, and has a robust selection of Japanese bar food as well as sushi and sashimi, udon, ramen, bento boxes and a few vegan salads.
