In the News: Downtown Shake Shack did *not* poison NYPD

FULTON HUB WORKERS ACCUSED BY PBA
Yipes. For anyone who caught wind of the nefarious rumor earlier this week that Shake Shack workers at the Fulton transit hub poisoned police who picked up three milkshakes there, it turned out to be some misused cleaning fluid in the shake machine. Plus the officers ordered the shakes on an app in advance and they were sitting on the counter when they arrived. The PBA sent the story viral before it could be investigated. -The Times or Eater

2 HUDSON SQUARE RENDERINGS
YIMBY has renderings of the building proposed by SHoP Architects for 2 Hudson Square, the giant lot on Canal between Varick and Sixth. I’ve tried to get a hold of them myself but no one will cough them up… “The building will include a public school with an office tower above for boutique finance and tech tenants. The 465-foot-tall, 26-story development is a joint venture between Taconic Investment Partners and Nuveen, after the pair acquired the land in a 99-year lease from Trinity Real Estate.”

DEBATE FOR LOCAL STATE ASSEMBLY SEAT
The Gotham Gazette taped the June 15 debate for the state assembly seat between incumbent Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou and her Democratic primary challenger, Grace Lee. The event was hosted by Manhattan Neighborhood Network and moderated by Gotham Gazette’s Ben Max. This is one of the few local elections going on for primary day on June 23. You can also watch it at MNN.org here.
