DON’T GET TOO EXCITED
C. wrote to say she saw the sidewalk shed at 90 West Broadway being dismantled — and she was right. Only because of MTA requirements at the station, the high white one has to come down and will be replaced by a more traditional scaffold. Sigh.

UNICORN SIGHTING ON READE
Well, close. Baby pigeons! Here I thought pigeons spontaneously appeared — I think it’s called abiogenesis. Turns out I was wrong, as proven by this photo from B. “I dare not get too aggressive in trying to get a better shot, but I will try. For now, a minor urban miracle – not legend.”

GUERILLA FLORAL DISPLAY ON HUDSON
Floral designer Lewis Miller has been leaving elaborate floral displays in unexpected places — trash cans, dumpsters — around the city for years and has focused his energies lately for the benefit of first responders and Black Lives Matter.
