The latest openings around the neighborhood

LOCANDA VERDE LATER THIS MONTH
Locanda Verde will begin service to the general public on July 15 or 16, and Shibui Spa will open at the end of July or August. The hotel opened on July 1 and the restaurants will be open just for registered hotel guest from then till mid month. “It will be a very quiet start but we look forward to opening the doors again,” said the hotel’s general manager.

BABESTA IS BACK
Babesta is back open as of last week. Hours are 11a to 6p weekdays, 12 to 6p Saturdays, closed Sunday.

ZONA TRIBECA
Zona Tribeca opened on June 22, and I don’t think I made a mention. You can order and make reservations on the website here.

BACK IN BLOOM
Flowers by Yasmine (owned by Tribecan Yasmine Karrenberg) in Le District is back open and serving its fresh blooms.

STELLA, BY APPOINTMENT
More on Stella soon, but for now: the longtime neighborhood home goods retailer, now located on Reade off Greenwich, is selling largely online and offering both delivery and curbside pickup. The store will be available to clients by appointment only.

GO TO GO
Go Catering, which has the cafe at 58 Lispenard in the back of the old Pearl Paint building, is back with a retail menu as well as Dinner for Four menus, including appetizer and dessert, that changes weekly. Hours are Monday – Friday, 10a to 3:30p.

WHAT’S OPEN AT THE SEAPORT
The Seaport has a list of stores that are open now that I assume it will update. The best news is that McNally Jackson is open. More on that soon. https://www.seaportdistrict.nyc/explore/shop/

  1. Any word on Terra or Pier A?

    • No, and I have contacted them both a couple of times.

      • Thanks, yes did the same. Appreciate the huge challenges the restaurant industry faces, still surprised some can’t just give a short update on their website and social channels (we remain closed, we’re reopening, etc). Hope these 2 open soon!

        • Very few restaurants and businesses have updated their websites, I have found. I think it is one more cost they don’t want to incur. Best is to check social media.

  2. That info about the Seaport is just not correct…
Cobble&co. is closed till….. so is the big gay icecream. Just went past 30 mints ago.
Same with the Tuckroom and the same with Pier A….. crickets

    • If you click on that link it shows eight stores that are open:
      McNally Jackson
      Alexis Bittar
      Scotch & Soda
      Guess
      Dita
      SJP
      Superdry
You have to click on each image to see the hours. The ones you mention are not on that list at all.

  3. Is 10 Corso Como closing. Walked by yesterday and there were workers inside looked like they were packing up..

    • As of January they were no longer operating the restaurant, and as of now they are not listing NYC on their website, but I will confirm…

  4. Considering their clientele seemed to be wealthy tourists, I’m not sure they have a viable path forward at this time. Their restaurant was pretty good the two times we ate there, but I never once bought anything from the actual store despite going in pretty frequently.
