Seen & Heard: Gansevoort Market coming to Oculus

GANSEVOORT MARKET COMING TO WESTFIELD
Gansevoort Market Food Hall — which was just down the street from the Whitney — will open a second location at the Oculus this fall. The market will have a full-service bar, events, live music and vendors such as K-Pop Haus, Los Panchos, LULU Poke, Makito sushi, Pink Butter, Patsy’s Pizza and others.

INATTESO CAFE HAS REOPENED
Inatteso Cafe on West and 2nd Place (right near the Citibike station!) reopened earlier this month after a lovely renovation — shame we still can’t sit inside. The current hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 8a to 2p (likely adding additional hours once dining in is permitted). They serve La Colombe coffee and Roman-style pizza by the slice. There is outdoor seating there as well as at their sister restaurant, Inatteso Pizzabar, with hours from noon to 10p.

A UNO TAKING APPOINTMENTS
A Uno Tribeca has new summer hours from noon to 5, Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sundays. You can also make an appointment to shop so you can have some freedom and attention inside. Email aunotribeca@gmail.com.

TWO MISSIVES FROM ROBERT JANZ
Since we can no longer see Robert’s visual poetry on the streets, painted in water, I have been glad to get emails with his poetry, reflections, musings, insight. Here’s a couple.

My alliteration poems are visual. The energy is lost if sONg is heard but not seen. Even some that sound ok lose intensity if not seen.

………………….

(im)patience.

Wrote myself a one word poem. Contemplated. Decided what’s the rush? We are behind the curve.
Really don’t know how things will work out. So be patient. I’m pausing. Overstuffed over saturated. Withdraw for a while .
