Seen & Heard: Walker’s back soon?

HERE’S HOPING…
M. sent this photo, but there is no official word on reopening from the folks at Walker’s. (I emailed with a source who said they might have been thinking of finding a buyer, but either way, they still have not committed to an opening date.) It will be great to see them back on in any capacity.

MULBERRY & VINE ACROSS THE RIVER
If you find yourself ever in DUMBO, Mulberry & Vine’s location there just reopened for takeout and delivery. 55 Prospect St. (between West Adams and Pearl) Hours are 11a to 9p.

MUSEUM OF JEWISH HERITAGE TO OPEN SEPT. 13
The Museum of Jewish Heritage will reopen to the public on Sept. 13, pending approval from New York State and New York City (not sure what that entails…) and with limited days of the week. They are also extending the closing date of the Auschwitz exhibition to May 2, 2021 (which is reason enough to go in, especially in these times). Hours will be 10a to 5p, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

While we are on the museum topic, the Met is now aiming for August 29, but it has decided to close the Met Breuer (which I loved, but have to admit did not get to all that often) permanently. The Breuer will now be the new temporary home of the Frick Collection while it renovates its mansion on 70th and Fifth. (More on that from Artnews here.)

MoMA will open with a much smaller staff after $45 million in budget cuts, according to Bloomberg. But as of last week, they had no reopening plans for the museum. The stores, however, are open. The Soho store hours are noon to 7p, seven days a week.
