Man stabbed to death at City Hall station

A man in his 20s was stabbed multiple times in the leg on the platform of the J/Z at Chambers Street, underneath One Centre Street, at 3p on Saturday. He was pronounced dead not long after at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.

The police said that upon arrival, officers discovered an “unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive male in his 20s with multiple stab wounds to his legs.” EMS responded and transported the man to the hospital. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The Post has very gruesome photographs of the scene on the platform and police carrying the victim out, if you need to see them.

Police described the suspect as in his 40s, with blonde hair, wearing a brown-hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The identity of the victim is pending family notification, police said.
