Seen & Heard: Oktober at the Okulus

JUST IN TIME FOR OKTOBER
There’s no opening date (they are stuck in some sort of red tape — and it could come from anywhere these days) and no official name (it may just be the Oculus Beer Hall) but there is indeed an outdoor beer set-up coming to the space where 2 WTC will eventually go. Looks like good fun. Of course the real Oktoberfest, which is actually in September, was cancelled across the globe, so this will have to do. (Thanks to K. for snap.)

FALL FESTIVAL AT CHURCH STREET SCHOOL
Church Street School for Music & Art is spending the month of October celebrating its 30th anniversary, with live streamed performances for all ages, masterclasses taught by faculty, virtual galleries filled with work from students, faculty and alumni. Participants will also be able to take a deep dive through the archives of old Tribeca through pictures, video footage and interviews. Performances take place on Saturdays and masterclasses during the week. The last Saturday of the month — Oct. 31 — will be dedicated to an annual CSSMA tradition: The Spooktacular! where families can join for online and socially distant in-person Halloween festivities.

DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL ON THE UWS
Miss Rachel had just opened her second studio on the Upper West Side in February when the pandemic hit. It is now back and building up again.
