MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOTS FIRED ON FRANKLIN
The Daily News reports that a convicted felon on probation was charged with firing the four shots on Franklin two weeks ago. Jemfford Perez, 24, was accused of shooting at a man who stepped out of a BMW outside of Patron of the New. I will try to get more details from the feds…

KUDOS FOR 146 CHURCH
The new building at 146 Church made a list of the most beautiful modern residences of 2020 from Architizer, and it’s worth scrolling through to look at the others if you are into that sort of thing. And since I had never heard of Architizer, after a good amount of toggling I figured out that they are a trade resource for architects and their A+Awards are judged by an all-star list of designers, architects and industry leaders. So yes, legit.

POSTMASTERS SHOW ILLUSTRATES 2020
The Times reviews the current show at Postmasters Gallery as part of its “shows to see” listings: Steve Mumford’s combat-zone drawings. Only this time the combat zones are a little too familiar: New York in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, Black Lives Matter protests and campaign rallies for Donald Trump.

  1. What an embarassment for the First Precinct.

Two shootings a month apart two blocks below the precinct house.

How ‘ bout they walk the beat and have a patrol car parked right across from this magnet for violence which the landlord should kick out? Why no public statement from the landlord? He/she likes renting to a business which attracts armed robbers?

Oh wait I forgot – First Precinct is too busy standing on guard at their two barricaded streets and having patrol cars at those two hotspots for crime in TriBeCa Jay & Staple Streets, Collister & Laight SMH.

    Laziest cops in NYC.

  2. Um, I live at Jay and Staple and have no idea what you are talking about re patrol cars. I’ve been here 44 years.
