A SLOW RETURN TO CITI HQ?
Bloomberg reports that 30 percent of Citi’s employees want to return to the office. In July they invited 5 percent back, and last week they brought in a new group as part of phase 2. “A survey sent to workers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut last month found that most wanted to start by returning to the office just a few days a week, Chief Financial Officer Mark Mason told journalists on a conference call. Mason said that he, Chief Executive Officer Mike Corbat and Jane Fraser, the bank’s CEO-elect, have returned to Citigroup’s headquarters in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood.”

A NEW SOHO RESTAURANT OPENS MID PANDEMIC
Eater has a first impressions of Vestry, the new restaurant from Shaun Hergatt, whose previous spots SHO and Juni both earned Michelin stars. It’s inside the Dominick (nee Trump Soho) Hotel at Spring and Varick, and is serving vegetable and seafood focused meals. There’s 30 seats indoors due to the city’s 25 percent capacity limit on indoor dining, and an additional 40 seats outside. “The menu has Japanese influences and includes a mix of small plates and main course items with dishes like sushi rice served with fish and a cured egg yolk ($22), tuna served over a fish-shaped potato crisp with tarragon ($12), and a chocolate passionfruit dessert ($15).” I’ll make my way over there soon.
