Seen & Heard: Josh Bach at CityStore

JOSH BACH X NYC
I do much of my stocking stuffing at the CityStore in One Centre — the source for all things NYC branded — and this time was excited to notice (there’s a lot to see in there) Tribecan Josh Bach’s NYC-themed bow ties. (Though I didn’t see his pigeon tie, which is for the die-hards.)

GIFTING RESTAURANT MERCH
G. wrote to say his son reminded me that most local restaurants and stores have gift certificates. They are planning to buy a bunch and never use them or use them after this is over, just to help out local restaurants. As I mentioned in the shopping guide, you can also find some very cool merch at a bunch of places — Bubby’s, Crown Shy, Puffy’s, Khe-Yo — comment if you know of more.

SPECTRUM OPENS NEW STORE
Spectrum has opened a new store at 151 Church St., aka 30 Warren. It’s open Monday to Saturday from 10a to 8p and Sunday from noon to 5p. Customers can sample and order Spectrum services, complete account payments and upgrade or exchange equipment. This is the 30th store in the city.

STARCHEFS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
StarChefs, the national restaurant industry magazine, has named three neighborhood chefs to its lists of Rising Stars of 2020: chef Diego Moya of Racines NY, and pastry chefs Julie Elkind of Bâtard and Michelle Palazzo of Frenchette (more TK on the latter!). The chefs are recognized for their culinary strength, but also for their charitable contributions to New York City and ability to navigate, lead and inspire during one of the industry’s most challenging times.
