Bowery Boogie reports that the gallery The Hole is expanding to another space at 86 Walker. The original gallery is at 312 Bowery, founded by Kathy Grayson and Meghan Coleman in May 2011.

MAN ARRESTED FOR HATE CRIME
1010 WINS reports that “a Bronx man was arrested and charged with hate-crime assault after he allegedly punched a 68-year-old on a subway train in Manhattan after making an anti-Asian remark, according to police and a report.” Marc Mathieu, 36, has been arrested and charged for the crime, which took place on a northbound 1 train at the Franklin Street station around 2:40 p.m. last Friday, March 19.

SIMMONS SELLS LIBERTY ST. PENTHOUSE AT DISCOUNT
Nine years after it went on the market, Russell Simmons sold his penthouse at 114 Liberty, The Post reports. Oddly I was in that apartment while it was still under construction — I think before he purchased it. It’s incredible — whoever snagged it was genius. And it went for half price. “The palatial pad at 114 Liberty St. was last asking $5.5 million — more than half off its original asking price of $11 million back in 2012. The sprawling, five-bedroom residence by the World Trade Center is 7,175 square feet and features more than 3,500 square feet of outdoor spaces over three planted terraces.”
