Local libraries will open by mid-July, including Murray Street

The NYPL announced that they will open all branch libraries in the city by mid-July, and the New Amsterdam branch on Murray Street — which has been closed since May 2018 — will be among them. These are the latest views of it under construction.

Several branches opened today across all three systems — New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Public Library — for limited browsing and computer use by appointment.

The Battery Park City branch opened in January for grab-and-go services from 11a to 5p on Monday through Saturday. You can pickup and return books that were reserved online or by phone.
