Seen & Heard: Three more weeks of jazz

TWIGGY TO GO TO STAY
Twiggy to Go, the new takeout on Church and White, has just built out a lovely curbside dining structure. They will be opening next week for dinner with an entirely new menu than the store, but in the meantime they will keep the tables out during the day for store customers to sit and eat.

ONE WHITE LOOKING BETTER BY THE DAY
I have to say I am very excited about One White’s vertical restaurant. And the window peeping just keeps getting better. And wait, there’s more: turns out they are growing their own produce on two acres in Columbia County, according to Grub Street: “When One White Street opens in June, Johnson will have ready access to produce for dishes like baby-gem-lettuce salad and summer vegetables with sorrel hummus and whipped ricotta. ‘In about six weeks, we’ll have lots of peas, radishes, mustards, kale, collard greens, fresh herbs,’ says chef Austin Johnson. ‘We’ve got 650 heads of lettuce grown in succession for that salad. The whole farm is planned to be eaten that way.’ Having your own land in cultivation offers more than just convenience.”
