Mattress Firm, which formerly had the retail space on Warren and Church till sometime in 2019, is taking at least part of the storefront at 200 Chambers, just west of PS 234. Polarn O. Pyret closed its store there in late April, so now that entire space along Chambers is empty. The Emergency Medical Care office closed in 2018.

The company plans to open in early October. There are 18 stores in the city now, the closest to us being two near Union Square.

The Mattress Firm folks said the store will be staffed with a team of “sleep experts” who will use the company’s proprietary technology to help you find a mattress that gets you through the night.
