Seen & Heard: Dim sum all around

DIM SUM ALL AROUND
I haven’t made it to either of these yet, but just putting them on the radar: A. called to say he had recently discovered Vegetarian Dim Sum House on Pell (though I don’t know if it’s new or been around a while) and the Downtown Alliance recently featured 3 Times in its newsletter (though I can’t find anything about it on the restaurant’s website). The local dim sum chain first opened in 2019 in Union Square and got rave reviews from the Times and Eater. “Chef Jennifer Yang is behind the menu, bringing experience from highly popular Flushing dumpling shops Yu Garden Dumpling House and Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao.” It’s at 38 Water.

  1. We’ve been eating at Vegetarian Dim Sum House for years. Wonderful food, lovely people. Note: cash only.

  2. Bodhi on Mulberry Street is also all vegan and has fantastic dim sum.

  3. I have been to Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant on Mott Street many times, and the food there is very good and satisfying (this from a carnivore…).
