Kelly Clarkson interviews three artists from the Soho Renaissance Factory who used the plywood on the storefront windows as their canvas during the early months of the pandemic. She gave them her “good neighbor” shoutout. It’s actually a good interview and a good look back on that time.

ROBBERY ON THOMAS
The Post reports that a robbery outside Buddha-Bar on Thomas may be part of a crime ring that has struck six times in the past weeks: “On Thursday, the ring — which numbers around 20 members — may have also struck in Tribeca, where Maksud Agadjani, who owns the Diamond District business TraxNYC, had $150,000 worth of jewelry stolen at gunpoint while leaving the Buddha-Bar Restaurant New York, sources said.”

WESTWORLD IN HUDSON RIVER PARK
The Trib got some good shots of James Marsden — always good to look at — and Evan Rachel Wood shooting Westworld on Pier 26 last week. I have no idea what this show is about, but they were not on horseback for these scenes.

THE TRIBECA ROOTS OF A SHOE DESIGNER
The Times has a “day in the studio” feature with Salehe Bembury, the shoe designer, who, according to the story, grew up here in Tribeca. He also worked for Damon Dash’s DD172 gallery on Duane Street in 2010. “Mr. Bembury, who was wearing his iconic thick rolled beanie, traveled between TriBeCa and the Upper West Side almost daily as a student at Calhoun High School. After he graduated in 2004, he studied industrial design at Syracuse University. His father urged him to learn a skill he could use anywhere, so he wanted to learn how to design with purpose, he said.”
