LUXE OMAKASE OPENS ON WARREN
Icca, the Japanese omakase restaurant that has long been brewing at 20 Warren, has finally opened. They will be serving a $153pp, six-course “bar tasting menu” at the front bar with chef Hisanori Yamamoto, which features dishes influenced by Italian cuisine and New York classics; and a $400/pp, 20-course omakase menu at the sushi bar in the back from Michelin-starred chef Kazushige Suzuki, featuring a selection of fish flown weekly from the famed markets in Toyosu and Kyushu, Japan, as well as N34 Tokachi herb beef. (N34 is a proprietary steak hybrid of fatty wagyu and hearty American cuts. It is produced on a farm in Hokkaido, Japan, which is owned by the owner of the Icca.) I hope to go to see and taste this for myself? But…wow.

They train kids as young as 6 and group them according to skill level and age, and also offer privates. Adults can play as both members or as drop-ins. For more information: www.nicolsquash.com or call the front desk, 315-400-3725. And more soon on Peter’s career…
A LOVE LETTER TO NYC
Downtown dancer Sadie Fraser performed in this incredibly charming video produced by Downtown Dance Factory and shot around the city, starting with Brooklyn Bridge, then the 14th Street R train station, Central Park and Times Square. If this doesn’t cheer you up I don’t know what will…
OLIVER CLEGG AT JOURNAL GALLERY
Loving the paintings of Oliver Clegg’s cats at Journal Gallery/Tennis Elbow. I am posting this guy — Dave — in honor of Halloween, but the other paintings are really quirky and fun. Show is up till Nov. 4 at 45 White.

Thank you Sadie Fraser!! Just wonderful.
We hope people enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed creating it! Sending big love out to NYC … and especially to Tribeca, of course!
If there ever were a perfect submission for an I LOVE NY campaign, this video would certainly be it!! Bravo Downtown Dance Factory and Sadie Fraser!!!
that was an absolute delight to watch – what talent!
Love this video. Thank you!
Great cat painting.
Nice to hear about the squash in midtown. What if tribeca had a pickleball court?
I have a net and play on the sports court on Pier 26!
The only tennis courts in tribeca/ battery’s park see for children at the park on West Street by Whole Foods? I know you can bring a pickle ball net, but I have no interest in that…
Thanks!
