RECORD-SETTING LOCAL PENTHOUSES
The Real Deal put together a list of five especially large penthouses, starting with the triplex at 1 N. Moore which set a NYC record as the most expensive rental in history on a per-square-foot basis, coming in at $15.45 per square foot monthly.

8 SPRUCE STREET IS ACQUIRED BY BLACKSTONE
Crain’s reports that Blackstone is nearing a deal to acquire 8 Spruce — the Frank Gehry building — from Brookfield Asset Management and Nuveen for $930 million.

YUH-LINE NIOU FOR SENATE
MSN reports that state Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou is running against incumbent Brian Kavanagh in the primary this summer for the 26th State Senate District position.

HOTEL INDIGO IS JUST ABOUT FINISHED
Yimby has a story on the Hotel Indigo at 120 Water, where exterior work is complete. “Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Atlas Hospitality, the 299-foot-tall tower will yield 52,000 square feet and 128 rooms managed by Fortuna Realty Group. Raj Guru, principal of Atlas, is the owner of the property, which is located on a narrow plot between Pine and Wall Streets.”

SILVERSTEIN BUYS 116 JOHN
The Real Deal reports that Silverstein Properties bought the 400-unit apartment building at 116 John from Nathan Berman’s Metro Loft Management for $248 million.
