Seen & Heard: Silent disco at Wagner Park

SILENT DISCO AT WAGNER PARK
UPDATE: POSTPONED FOR COLD. There’s a silent disco at Wagner Park tonight on Feb. 4, and these things never fail to entertain me as a passer-by (the video above is from last month at The Battery). This one is from 6 to 9p, and is family-friendly with three different DJ options. The whole event is free, including the headphones. RSVP and learn more here.

TINY’S HAS ADDED AN OYSTER BAR DOWNSTAIRS
Tiny’s has added a five-seat bar on the first floor of the restaurant with a menu dedicated to oysters, crudos and martinis. Think hamachi, tuna tartare and black truffle martinis. It looks like fun, though I am not sure how you sit — maybe facing each other? Will get in there soon. First come, first served.

CUSTOMIZED KICKS AT THE SEAPORT
The LA-based Shoe Surgeon has set up a shop at 8 Fulton Street, where you can take a class to customize your sneakers using all sorts of paints, leathers, laces, etc. The retail component will be coming soon, but in the meantime The Shoe Surgeon offers workshops and classes through the SRGN Academy. Looks like fun.

MULYANA AT SAPAR CONTEMPORARY
Sapar Contemporary is hosting Mulyana: Fragile Ecologies, the artist’s first solo solo exhibition at the gallery. Mulyana is one of the most recognizable Indonesian artists today, known for his whimsical knit and crocheted characters and his dazzling underwater landscapes. This show features two life-size, hand-knit and crocheted costumes and a series of sumptuously knit coral islands in the main room of the gallery. 9 N. Moore Street.
