In the News: Renderings for 2 World Trade Center

RENDERINGS FOR 2 WTC
Yimby has leaked renderings of 2 World Trade Center that are worth a look. (That is the old rendering, above.) Silverstein has not released them yet, but I have it on good authority that these are accurate. It’s a glass tower design by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners — 1,350 feet tall with landscaped terraces throughout its height.

RENDERINGS FOR PACE’S 15 BEEKMAN BUILDING
Yimby also has a rendering for 15 Beekman — Pace’s new building at Nassau Street — that Pace will not provide so I can’t show it to you here. (Yimby is crafty at getting these drawings, but sometimes they are old or wrong, so I don’t run them unless I can get them from the source.) I may be able to get more at the end of March… The old buildings shown here are already razed.

MOST ROMANTIC RESTAURANTS IN NYC?
Thrillist published a list of its most romantic restaurants in the city, and it includes Tiny’s and Marc Forgione’s East Village restaurant Peasant, especially for its new wine bar downstairs.

A NEW TENANT FOR BEACH STREET
WeWork, which has the former preschool building at 53 Beach Street, has leased four floors to Contentsquare, a French digital experience analytics company, for a hybrid work space. –BisNow

  1. I used to frequent Peasant on Elizabeth Street in the years before Marc Forgione bought it. It used to have a lovely downstairs wine bar filled with lit candles. I am sure his new relaunch will be wonderful.
