In the News: Woman murdered on Chrystie Street

WOMAN MURDERED IN HER CHINATOWN APARTMENT
A woman was followed into her building early Sunday morning and stabbed to death in her own apartment on Chrystie and Grand streets, according to police reports in all the dailies, including The Post and The Times. Neighbors reported that at 4:30a she entered her building and was immediately followed by the suspect, who police report is a homeless man with a list of prior offenses. “We’ve got cameras on every floor and in the front here,” the owner of the building told The Post. “She got out of a cab right here and he followed her. He grabbed the front door just before it closed. He followed her all the way up, hanging back, staying one floor behind her all the way up to the sixth floor. Then, he waited until her door was just about closed and he went in.”

PARAGON OF POSHNESS
The Real Deal published a list of the top home sales by neighborhood for last year and Tribeca is #2, right after Central Park South and its rows of billionaires. The average price here was $4.6 million across 503 home sales.

DISNEY MAKING PROGRESS
Yimby has shots of the façade installation on Disney’s new 22-story building in Soho — on the former City Winery site on Varick and Spring.

AN ART TOUR OF FIDI
6sqft has a nice list of Fidi art installations, including the Noguchi and di Suvero on Broadway and the Dubuffet at Fosun Plaza and my favorite — Louise Nevelson Plaza. Good circuit.
