The former Ward III at 111 Reade just east of West Broadway will be reopened as Winston’s by Sage LaForte — a young woman (she was holding an infant at the meeting!) who has managed other restaurants in the city.

It sounds like the bar will stay very much the same, with 14 tables (for 28 people) and 20 at the bar. There will be a jazz theme though — no live music, but just jazz background music. The space does not have a full kitchen, so they will serve pizzas and other snacks.

The applicant asked for 11a to 2a, Sundays 11p, but since CB1 does not give till 2a the first time around — they approved it for 1a, 10p on Sundays, for the first six months and then they can return.
