FOSTER A KITTEN — OR ATTEND THE SHOWER
Best Friends animal shelter in Soho is prepping for kitten season and is looking for foster families to get them through the spring especially. They are hosting a “Kitten Shower” where you can learn about fostering on Sunday, March 27, from 1 to 3 at 307 West Broadway. You can also donate gifts for them at the shower or use the Amazon wishlist here. (We fostered two sets of kittens from the ASPCA and it was one of the best things we ever did as a family.) Best Friends’ data shows that in 2020, nearly 347,000 dogs and cats were killed in America’s animal shelters, of which nearly 70 percent were cats and kittens.

JEWISH MUSEUM SPRING LUNCHEON ON ZOOM
The Museum of Jewish Heritage is holding its annual Spring Women’s Luncheon virtually on Thursday, March 31 at 1p, and it will feature feature Auschwitz survivor, psychologist and author Dr. Edith Eva Eger in conversation with Sarah Maslin Nir, a reporter for The New York Times and daughter of a Holocaust survivor. An online auction will raise funds to support the museum’s work in Holocaust education. Register here.

SUNDAY IN BROOKLYN FOR SUMMER
