C. sent this video with this question: “Why is this thing beeping? It’s been at it for over a year!”

The answer is not nearly as interesting as I had hoped: those are security cameras managed by Brookfield, and in that box is an old one that is out of service — that’s the beeper. There’s also a new fully functioning one in there — watching.
