Catching Up With New Kids: Healthybaby

Healthybaby (which was originally Healthynest) opened on Warren in November, and I just now got a chance to see inside. The space is a brick-and-mortar manifestation of their product line, which is non-toxic products for babies and pregnant women — diapers, skincare, cleaning and supplements.

The whole setup is essentially free and open weekdays for parents with babies, designed to be a supportive environment and a resource for the neighborhood. They have a padded play area, a secluded nursing area and a deluxe diaper changing station where you can test-drive their products. I think if I was staring at four walls with my infant, as I still recall doing, I would be over there every day.

It is staffed on Wednesdays and Fridays with an occupational therapist offering free one-on-one sessions (schedule here) and they have several events per month, mostly free: new parent playgroups, lactation classes, CPR classes, infant massage, pelvic floor exercise classes.
