Seen & Heard: Charity raffle for a Priority Bike

PRIORITY BICYCLES HOSTS CHARITY RAFFLE
Priority Bicycles has commissioned four artists — Dirty Bandits, Jason Naylor, Vexta and Jessie Salinas — to each customize a bike from the Tribeca company and they will raffle them off this month as a fundraiser for the “You Are Not Alone” campaign to address mental health. All money raised will be donated to NAMI-NYC, which offers free services to help families and individuals affected by mental illness. The raffle runs through June 17, with winners drawn on the 23rd. SURVEY FOR NEW SUBWAY MAPS
The new pilot subway maps are freaking me out — I hope they are not permanent. They remind me a lot of the ones designed by Massimo Vignelli — which I only saw in his obit in 2014. (I thought it would cool to collect one — you can buy one at the Transit Museum — but not to convert the whole system!) The guy was a genius, of course, and the design was lauded by art critics, less so by straphangers. Turns out there’s a survey from the MTA if you want to weigh in. There’s one at the Fulton hub to see it in person.

AND WHILE ON THE PLATFORM…
I spotted this crafty person on the A/C Chambers Street platform, at the uptown end. Good to know when in a pinch…

MMUSEUMM IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON
The tiny Mmuseumm is back open on Cortlandt Alley, Fridays and Saturdays from 11a to 6p or 24/7 through the viewing windows or by appointment. As they describe it, it is “A place to look and think and look and not think.”
