BIG SCREEN OUTSIDE ON LIBERTY
The Downtown Alliance and the Alamo Drafthouse are hosting three movies with a dancing theme on Wednesday nights at Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty: July 13, August 24 and Sept. 21 at 7p. Plaza seating will open at 6:30p, but you can also bring your own blanket, food and drink. The Alamo will also be printing posters for sale. No registration required.

SWITAJ MOVES ON FROM CB1
Diana Switaj, CB1’S director of urban planning & land use, has left the board staff after 10 years to work with the city’s Economic Development Corporation with an emphasis on resiliency. The board was lucky to have her.
WALKING TOUR IN CITY HALL PARK
The Friends of City Hall Park will hold its “state of the park” walking tour on Sunday, July 10, at noon, to observe and discuss the park’s current conditions. They will focus on safety concerns, the sprinkler system, maintenance, etc. Meet at the chess tables near the Broadway/Warren entrance.
BROOKLYN ROBOT FOUNDRY IS FRANCHISING
Brooklyn Robot Foundry, which had a Tribeca outpost until the pandemic, is franchising its business as of July 13. Owner Jenny Young spent the majority of her career working in engineering and systems management and founded the company 10 years ago. They are also running a contest that will waive the $60K franchise fee for the first year. See all the info here.
