Seen & Heard: One last concert at Washington Market Park

ASTROGRASS IN WASHINGTON MARKET PARK
Washington Market Park’s June concert featuring the urban Bluegrass band Astrograss was rained out and the makeup concert is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 22, at 4p. BYO blanket.

HOUSEMAN ADDS BRUNCH AND FRIDAY LUNCH
Houseman is now open for brunch on the weekends and lunch on Fridays. The menu has a few eggy dishes, crepes (avec sucre et beurre or chocolate or berries) as well as savory favorites including the plate salad, the burger, the steak and seasonal vegetables. The outdoor space is newly renovated. Hours are 11a to 3:30p, with drinks and a limited menu straight through till dinner.

ADOPT A PET AT COCOON
Cocoon is partnering with Bideawee to host a dog adoption day on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 3p, so if you don’t want your kid to beg you for a puppy, avoid Greenwich on Saturday afternoon! The event is free and will take place on the sidewalk in front of the playspace on Greenwich and Duane. Kids can also make a stuffed animal for purchase.

ACUPUNCTURIST JOINS THE LIVE WELL COMPANY
The Live Well Company on West Street and Laight has added acupuncture services to its roster, and has hired Ross Anti as its resident acupuncturist. Anti has been working in fitness and mobility training for 18 years, and well as educating other trainers, and has a BA in kinesiology and a master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture from Pacific College of Health & Science. His treatments include alleviating headaches, pain, fatigue and insomnia, and addressing digestive health.
