Seen & Heard: Cannabis ‘museum’ coming to Soho soon

“MUSEUM” OF CANNABIS COMING TO SOHO
In the continuing series of those experiences called museums comes The House of Cannibis, scheduled to open “winter 2022” at Broadway and Howard, just north of Canal.

PACE GALLERY ON BROADWAY OPENING SOON
The new Pace Gallery — called Gallery 125 Newbury, for the address of Pace founder Arne Glimcher’s first-ever gallery space, which opened in Boston in 1960 — is scheduled to open next week. More TK.

COLOR VUE HAIR LOUNGE HAS CLOSED
Color Vue Hair Lounge, which opened in the arcade at 23 Warren in April 2019, has left the premises. Owner Mike Makkawi has been in the hair industry – as a stylist, colorist, educator, salon owner – for 27 years and built out the space himself.

And while we are on the topic, I can’t believe there is a sidewalk bridge going back up at 23 Warren! The one that was there for AGES came down in May 2019.

RESALE LUXURY RETAIL TO OPEN IN SOHO
DIFFA (the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) and luxury fashion resale non-profit Shop Repurpose will open a permanent retail space at 433 Broadway at Howard next week. The store will feature new and resale designer fashions, home furnishings, and accessories. Proceeds will advance DIFFA and Shop Repurpose’s respective missions: raising funds for those affected by HIV/AIDS, homelessness, food scarcity, and mental health issues, as well as supporting the health and wellbeing of women and families.
