Seen & Heard: Afterschool music at Bogardus

AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC AT BOGARDUS
Bogardus Plaza will host a music performance for kids after school on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 3:30 to 4:30, with faculty from Church Street School of Music & Art, including guitarist Richard Younger, who has been teaching in the neighborhood for decades. There will also be kids craft activities.

TRIBECA CITIZEN’S SWEDEN
Was super stoked to catch the action from the TC Sweden team of senior girls at Downtown Soccer League. (I’ll try to get my hands on a full team photo too.) The league started the girls-only division in 2012, so this is the first group that have gone all the way through. And it shows. Almost all these girls play for either a travel team, their high school team or both.

IMMERSIVE MONET
This time it’s Monet. Monet’s Garden: The Interactive Experience is coming to 30 Wall, opening Nov. 1. “Explore his studio and learn about his life, struggles, and inspirations before stepping into the scenery of Monet’s Garden where you’ll be invited to walk across the bridge and enter the paintings through interactive projections.” Tickets start at $33.

TRIBECA BY WAY OF LGA
Caught sight of a restaurant by Marc Forgione at the new LaGuardia terminal the other day. That plus Bubby’s at LGA makes for a fully Tribeca experience in Queens.
