A FILM EXPLORES THE DEATHS THAT FOLLOWED 9/11
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will screen the film “DUST,” in which the daughter of FDNY Firefighter Billy Gormley details her father’s death in 2017 to bladder cancer that was linked to toxins he was exposed to during his rescue work at the pile between 2001 and 2002, tonight at 6p. A discussion with Bridget Gormley and others involved with making “DUST” will follow the film. The screening is free. RSVP to visionary@911memorial.org.
VEGAN SMOOTHIES AT THE SEAPORT
Loco Coco, a local chain founded on the Upper East Side in 2017, has opened a window-service only shop at Pier 16, under the FDR Drive, at 84 South Street. The menu includes acai bowls, wellness shots, snacks, fresh juices, smoothies, and superfood-enhanced soft serve, along with the ability to customize any bowl with superfood additions (jackfruit, aloe, maca, spirulina and 40 other boosters). This is their fifth location.
DONNA BELLA FOREVER
I love that Donna Bella still pops up on Google when you need to order pies — since I don’t think I will ever adjust to Little Italy Pizza. And they still answer at 212-374-1130.
