Seen & Heard: Groundhog coming to Duane Park

DUANE PARK GROUNDHOG PARTY & FUNDRAISER
Friends of Duane Park is holding its annual free Groundhog Day party in the park from 4 to 5:30p (cookies, hot chocolate) as well as a fundraiser that evening, which is a cocktail party on Feb. 2, from 6:30 to 8:30, in a sort of lowkey version of their famed loft tour. The evening will end with champagne toasts from Tribeca Wine Merchants. Tickets are $125 at DuanePark.org. Only 100 tickets available. The location will be revealed directly before the event.

BREAKING GROUND AT 14 WHITE
The diggers are in place at 14 White, the site of new construction on the long term triangle lot on Sixth Avenue. See more on the development here.

NO WORD ON SOPHIE’S…
A couple of neighbors have asked if I know what’s happening with the new Sophie’s Cuban scheduled for Broadway and Worth, and alas, no word there. I have tried multiple angles… It is not yet listed on their website either.

BENEFIT AUCTION AT UNTITLED SPACE
The Untitled Space is hosting a show of watercolorist Fahren Feingold as well as a benefit art auction in support of the SeekHer Foundation. Bidding will take place between Jan. 30 and Feb. 8. A portion of proceeds from the sale of each artwork will be donated to SeekHer Foundation, a non-profit advocacy project of WellSeek, a social impact collective that is reimagining women’s wellness in our workplaces and communities. The show opened today.
