Seen & Heard: Ole & Steen opens April 20

OLE & STEEN OPENS APRIL 20

The Danish-born international chain Ole & Steen is opening its fourth outlet in the city on Thursday, April 20, at 100 Church. They are known for their rustic breads, like the signature Rugbrød (Danish rye bread), and their “Cinnamon Social,” a cinnamon pastry with vanilla custard that is especially popular in London, where they have 16 shops. They have 100 locations across the globe. (Thanks to S. for the pic.)

OL’ DAYS OPENS ON APRIL 5
Ol’ Days, the all-day cafe with its roots Buenos Aires, will open its second outpost in the city on Wednesday, April 5, on Warren in the former Mulberry & Vine space. The chain was founded in 2014 by sisters Martina and Juliana Fracchia and their longtime best friend Camila Basigalup, inspired by the traditions of hospitality that they shared growing up in Argentina. This is the 4th location worldwide; the team currently operates locations in Flatiron (165 Broadway), Miami and Buenos Aires.
