RABBIT HOLE ALERT
A neighbor has become a regular on the Buy Nothing Project’s Tribeca/Soho page. You have to request to join, and then, but I am not exactly sure why. The listings seem to be local, but anyone can buy (I think??). There’s everything from Squishmellows to makeup to opened bags of coffee beans to a pet nail grinder. There are occasionally gems — like a classic Tolomeo lamp left in front of 11 Jay yesterday or the practically new Sorel boots on Murray.
BESPOKE TAILOR MOVES TO LAIGHT
Bespoke tailor Stephen Seo, whose custom suits and shirts are made in the neighborhood, has moved his shop from Broadway to 36 Laight on the ground floor. Among other great gigs, Seo dressed the entire ensemble of “Entourage” for seasons seven, eight and nine, as well as the movie – making sure every pocket square, every silk lining, every button was in place for each of Ari’s tirades and more.
JEWISH WOMEN’S THEATER AT MUSEUM
The Museum of Jewish Heritage has partnered with The Braid, formerly known as the Jewish Women’s Theatre, to present a series of performances highlighting themes of food, remembrance, and queer identity in the Jewish community. “Remembrance of Things Present” is on April 20, and “Out Loud” on June 22. See more info here.
H&H TO CHURCH??
A. spotted a handwritten sign on the window of 279 Church, the former Twiggy To Go space, that says H&H Bagels. This would be news! (Though it’s more likely wishful thinking.) Awaiting word from the mothership…
