Taste is in three weeks!

Taste of Tribeca is May 20 and as always, it’s an amazing show of local restaurants going all-out (you know doing an event like this is not easy, especially when they still have dinner to serve that night) to support the neighborhood and the local schools — PS 234 and PS 150. It’s a 29-year-old event (read some of the history here) and it really is a great way to bump into old friends and try out new restaurants. (Though who am I kidding, I always get the same six bites every year.)

It’s my experience that you can buy tickets day-of, but I always buy some in advance as gifts — for babysitters, my brother-in-law, anyone who did me a solid this past year. Plus you save $5 if you get them now.

The details
Saturday, May 20

  1. I miss Taste! One of the best ever community events. Hope it all goes swimmingly.

  2. $65 for 6 bites? I’m all for these wonderful events, but starting to notice that almost all establishments are using the “inflation“ excuse to bump up prices. Going to pass this year for that reason.

  3. That list of restaurants on the back of the t-shirt in the linked history brings back memories … RiverRun, Spartina, El Teddy’s, Chanterelle. I moved to Tribeca just in time for the first one. What an event.

  4. Any word on friedman’s at Goldman? They have had a sign coming soon for about 8 months!
Does anyone remember the pizza popcorn restaurant right around corner from the men’s jcrew in tribeca
Best food on planet ! I oft wondered if they would resurface – any 411
I think called circus? Or something akin to that
