Community Board 1 agendas for May

Community Board members, applicants and public members *may* be required to attend in person. If they do return to an in-person meeting format, the public is still encouraged to follow the meetings virtually.

Meetings are still here online and are recorded and posted to the board’s YouTube page. You can also find documents and draft resolutions here. As always, contact the board at man01@cb.nyc.gov. My comments in caps.

  1. Which date is bet to go to complain about tell the smoke shops that have been popping up. In particular the 157 chambers street one next to 16 handles which its shed has become the new smoking weed spot. Children can’t sit there because you have people smoking weed. Also Mr Exotix location. It doesn’t make sense to have 6 smoke shops in. 2 block radius

    • CB1 has a form here to report unlicensed cannabis shops.

    • Just signed Botte’s liqueur license petition
Planning to open late July or August
Botte, Italian cuisine of Brooklyn (Gold St), UES & Astoria.. their 4th location.
Hours sounded tame, esp for a busy avenue:
      Weekdays 6am-11pm
      Weekends 7am-11pm

    • The whole city smells like skunk weed. If people choose to risk brain damage and pollute their own lungs with it, so be it. However, others shouldn’t be forced to inhale that pollution. What can be done? Do we need designated smoking areas of the city?
