OSTERIA CARLINA IS OPEN
More soon when I can go by, but in the meantime, the Italian restaurant Osteria Carlina opened on Wednesday at 11 Varick and N. Moore, just south of Walker’s. They are open for dinner six nights a week; closed Mondays. (Thanks to S. for the pic.)

BOGARDUS EVENTS SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Bogardus Plaza has its Spring Block Party tomorrow (Saturday) at 11a, including performances from Downtown Dance Factory and art from Church Street, and its annual Downtown Dog Show on Sunday at 3p. You can still register for that here. 

JANE’S WALK EVENTS THIS WEEKEND
The Municipal Arts Society has all sorts of events cued up for its annual walking tours that it calls Jane’s Walk, in honor of Jane Jacobs. There are tons of tours downtown on the calendar for this weekend (some start today). See the map here and click through. PICKLEBALL AT BROOFIELD
Brookfield has pickleball set up on the marina plaza and its free to play from now through May 14. On weekdays it’s open for walk-ins from 11a to 5p; weekends is 11a to 7p for walk-ins. The court is closed on May 11 from 3:30 to 6:30p. Info here.
