Edith’s will take up weekday residency at Tiny’s

The Edith’s mystery is solved. A couple readers and I have been brainstorming to figure out which space the popular BEC BK sandwich stop was taking — but turns out they are instead moving into Tiny’s during the day, Eater reports.

Elyssa Heller (the shop is named for her grandaunt who ran a Brooklyn deli in the ’50s) and her crew will be cooking weekdays starting Friday, open from 8a to 3p (according to the caption) when Tiny’s is closed. Then on the weekends, Elyssa will add some of her brunch items to the Tiny’s menu. Her post says this is NOT a pop-up.

“It’s actually permanently going to be our home, but we’re just kicking it off this summer,” Elyssa wrote. “The menu is basically the same as our sandwich shop — a little bit slimmer — but includes all our greatest hits to start. On the weekends they’ll have some rotating Edith’s dishes on their menu in addition to their normal brunch menu (plus the slushies of course). So excited to be a part of the neighborhood!!”

The sandwich shop opened first in 2020 as a pop-up at Paulie Gee’s Pizzeria in Greenpoint. Rave reviews ensued — even a New Yorker story on The State of the Bagel. She’s also known for her slushies, including a coffee one. The sandwich menu includes her signature bacon, egg, cheese with a latke; a breakfast wrap with chicken sausage and cheesy eggs; chickpea schnitzel with green cabbage.

More TK after Friday.
