Seen & Heard: Élan Flowers coming to Worth Street

ÉLAN FLOWERS COMING TO WORTH
J. spotted it first and I heard from Patrick Hall at Élan Flowers that they closed on the purchase of 1 Worth’s commercial space and have just gotten permits to start construction inside. The exterior is landmarked. They are hoping for a “grand opening” in the fall and are planning on moving production there from 26 Grand Street in mid-August. More TK when I get a tour.

GOLF SCHOOL COMING TO THOMAS AND BROADWAY
The urban golf school — no grass needed — Golf v.2 has taken 2600 square feet at 12 Thomas for its second golf training space in the city — the other one is in Brooklyn Heights on Clinton Street. The facility is membership-based and will have four simulators with PGA certified coaches for both kids and adults. This will be a training academy, not a recreation facility like the golf venue coming to Brookfield, just FYI. More when we can schedule a tour.

THURSDAY SESSIONS AT THE SEAPORT
The Seaport will host Seaport Sounds with a lineup of NYC’s top DJs will be on the Pier 17 Riverdeck — the northside facing the bridge — every Thursday night from 5 to 8p.

LORENA TORRES AT PABLO’S BIRTHDAY
Pablo’s Birthday, the gallery upstairs at 105 Hudson, will host Lorena Torres: Waiting for My Love to Find Me. This will be the artist’s inaugural solo exhibition at the gallery and in the United States. The exhibition explores the artist’s ongoing narrative with twelve new oil paintings depicting the faces, figures, and scenes, of hesitant yet passing moments about a love encountered or mis-encountered. Through July 28.

  1. Yeah for Elan Flowers!
    welcome back to the neighborhood!

  2. Worth Street will be in bloom when Elan Flowers arrives! We loved them on Duane Street and it’s great to have them back in walking distance.
