DEMO HAS BEGUN ON THE TOMBS
Demolition has begun in earnest on the Tombs, the northern-most building of the jail complex on White Street and Centre. Hard to believe this is happening.

LEE FIELDS & TAMIKREST AT RIVER & BLUES
The next River & Blues concert is this Thursday, July 13, with Lee Fields, whose decades-long soul career has netted 20 albums and over 40 singles, and cued up for Thursday, July 20, with a DJ at 6p and a show at 7p is the band Tamikrest. Location is Rockefeller Park. Tamikrest music draws from West African Ishumar rebel music and Tuareg Blues. The band seeks to make Tamasheq poetry and culture accessible to inhabitants of a world larger than the immensity of the Saharian desert.

ARTISTIC REFLECTIONS ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Brookfield will host a discussion with Miya Ando, winner of the 2023 Brookfield Place New York Annual Arts Commission, and Ami Vitale, a Nikon Ambassador and National Geographic photographer, who will discuss their environmentally focused art exhibitions on July 20 at 6p in the Winter Garden. The artists will discuss their observations and documentation of climate change and conservation. RSVP here.
