Seen & Heard: Summer restaurant week starts July 24

SUMMER RESTAURANT WEEK STARTS NEXT WEEK
NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2023 starts on July 24 and runs through August 20 with 500 participating restaurants participating at three different price points: $30, $45 and $60 for two-course lunches and three-course dinners. Check the details here to see what the restaurants are offering. In the meantime, here’s the list:
Tribeca: Anejo, Tamarind, City Vineyard, American Cut Steakhouse, Buddha-Bar New York, Chanson Le Salon, City Vineyard, File Gumbo Bar, Goa New York,  Khe-Yo, Gran Morsi, Sarabeth’s Tribeca, Smyth Tavern, Tamarind Tribeca, Thalassa and Tribeca Grill.
Battery Park City: Anassa Taverna Downtown, The Black Hound, Del Frisco’s Grille, Treadwell Park, Mezze on the River, Atrio, Blue Smoke.
Fidi & The Seaport: Barbalu, Carne Mare, Clinton Hall, The Fulton, Industry Kitchen, La Marchande, La Pizza & La Pasta- Eataly NYC Downtown, Le Gratin, Malibu Farm, Morton’s Steakhouse- World Trade Center, One Dine, Schilling, Temple Court by Tom Colicchio.

 

STORY HOUR IN CITY HALL PARK
The City Hall Park Conservancy is partnering with the NYPL New Amsterdam branch to host a children’s story time by the fountain in City Hall Park on Thursday, July 20, at 3:30p. Post-camp, this is the perfect time to relax in the park sitting on the bistro tables. Rain date is Monday, July 24.

METALWORKING DEMONSTRATIONS AT SEAPORT MUSEUM
The South Street Seaport Museum has started a free monthly event, Forging Maritime History, beginning on June 10 from 12–2p with metalworking demonstrations from professional metalworker and long-time Seaport Museum volunteer Barry Greene. He will demonstrate the historical art of crafting rivets, spikes and tools while highlighting modern reproductions of intriguing artifacts from the Museum’s collection. No registration needed; outdoors at Pier 16 and walk-ups are welcome.

MATT DAMON HANGS AT GRAN MORSI
Gran Morsi on Warren was the setting for a Matt Damon interview with NBC Sunday TODAY host Willie Geist, for a chat about his new movies “Oppenheimer,” “Air” and other topics. (Damon lives in Brooklyn.)
