Seen & Heard: Interlude adding Sundays

INTERLUDE ADDS SUNDAY HOURS
Interlude is now open Sundays, a first since covid. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7a to 4p, and Saturday and Sunday, 8a to 3p. I didn’t realize that they now have an online ordering system as well.

CITY MD CLOSING?
The CityMD on Chambers has had a sign up for a while now, saying it is closed until further notice “due to unfortunate circumstances.” I’ve tried corporate to get an answer but no luck…

NEW DIRECTORS FOR SOHO REP
Eric Ting and Caleb Hammons will join Cynthia Flowers as directors of Soho Rep, taking over artistic leadership of the theater from outgoing directors Sarah Benson and Meropi Peponides. Ting is an artist and theater director who has 16 years of arts leadership experience, most recently serving as the artistic director of Cal Shakes, where he was called “one of the Bay Area’s most revolutionary arts leaders,” by The San Francisco Chronicle. Hammons started at Young Jean Lee’s Theater Company and 13P to his current role as the director of artistic planning and producing at the Fisher Center at Bard.

MURAL ON CHAMBERS
Students from Stuyvesant repainted the Alice in Wonderland mural at the Washington Market Park tennis courts recently, updating the original one with a NYC tourist theme. Not sure I understand the relevance of the theme to the neighborhood — never did get the original one of “Alice in Wall Street Land” either — but the abstract parts of the mural are fun.
