Seen & Heard: Changes to come for Il Mulino

CHANGES COMING SOON FOR IL MULINO
Il Mulino (at 361 Greenwich) applied for a new liquor license — one of the current owners and his wife are taking over the spot, according to their lawyer who attended a recent CB1 meeting. They are not making any alterations to the interior, which they rented in 2018. They have not closed and there will be no interruption in service during the transition. Hours will be noon to 10:30p Monday to Saturday, noon to 10p on Sunday. More TK when everything is set.

JAZZ ON GOVERNORS ISLAND
The Jazz By The Water series on Governors takes place Saturday, August 19, from 12-7p. Celebrating the history of Pittsburgh and New Orleans Jazz, the concert will feature Floyd King Band, Gene Ghee Quin­tet, Niki­ta White Quin­tet, Ron Jack­son Quin­tet, San­ti Debri­ano Arkestra Bem­be, The Star­lene Bey Expe­ri­ence, and TC The 3rd & Friends. An arts workshop will be hosted by the Harlem Pub­lic Arts Project with a music clin­ic to be announced. All free. More info here. 

VANESSA TORRES AT 72 WARREN
The artist Vanessa Torres will have a series of paintings on view at 72 Warren through the weekend, starting tomorrow at 11a through 8p for both August 19 and 20. She describes the exhibit as “a visual diary, depicting the phases, challenges, and triumphs of her personal
and artistic growth.”

PROPOSAL, WTC STYLE
An assistant controller at Silverstein Properties tricked his girlfriend into thinking there was a fancy party on the 80th floor of 3 WTC< and when she got there, he proposed — with a view. Their families were hiding in the wings and showed up a few minutes later.
